Firefighters from Fayette and Glasgow battled a house fire Saturday, Jan. 31 at an address on Lucky Street.

Crews were dispatched just before 8 a.m. to the blaze in Fayette. According to the Glasgow Fire District, who provided automatic aid to the Fayette Fire/Howard County Station One, the crews from Fayette pushed the flames from the front door back toward the room where the fire originated, while another crew conducted a search of the home to determine if anyone was inside. Glasgow’s crews conducted a secondary search from the rear, confirming that the home was unoccupied.

Extreme temperatures caused slick conditions according to Glasgow’s firefighters, but they reported no delays in their initial attack of the fire, and no injuries on the scene.
