The Concordia Board of Aldermen held a review of the status of the city’s budget through the first quarter of the fiscal year during its meeting Monday evening.

City Administrator Dale Klussman said that revenues and expenses are remaining on track through the first part of the year.

Klussman did note that the General Fund is seeing a boost from the use tax that was implemented in October 2025.

The Board of Aldermen also held a discussion regarding elements they want to include in the upcoming Solid Waste Contract. Klussman said most of the conservation was focused on getting quotes for recycling. The city’s current contract expires on September 30th and the board intends to bid residential and multi-family trash service later this year.
