The Moberly City Council reviewed and accepted a bid for a parking expansion project at Water Works Lake during its meeting on Monday, February 2nd.

The council received a total of four bids for the work, with the low bid coming from Frech Paving in the amount of $96,000. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the project will essentially double the amount of parking space near the lake.

 

In other news from Monday’s meeting, the council authorized participation in the Missouri Highway Safety Program, which is a $7,500 grant to the Moberly Police Department for DWI/DUI enforcement. Council members also approved a request to hold the Mother’s Day “Run for Her Life” 5K on Sunday, May 10th.
