After four years on the sidelines calling plays for the Marshall Owls, Ian Verts will return to the main office of Marshall High School as their next assistant principal.

Verts will remain head baseball coach this spring before relinquishing those duties, as well as the clipboard on the football sidelines. The next head football and head baseball coaches will answer to a new activities director, Derek Bohnsack. Petet says Bohnsack will make his way to Owl Pride Drive from Missouri Valley College.

Also hired Tuesday night was Emily Rifenberg, who will split duties between being an assistant principal and science teacher at Bueker Middle School. She succeeds Meghan Tichenor, who was named the next principal at Santa Fe High School last month.
