A Warsaw man ran off a roadway in Benton County on Thursday, Feb. 5, resulting in moderate injury to him.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. Thursday on Route 83 south of Lone Star Road, outside the Whitakerville community. Troopers report that the 28-year-old man was driving north on the highway when he went off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence. He was taken to a Clinton hospital for treatment. Troopers add that it’s not known if he was wearing his seat belt when the crash occurred.
