Little Dixie Regional Libraries is holding a series of educational events highlighting influential figures throughout American history to celebrate the nation’s Semiquincentennial.

Library Director Rachael Grime says the Moberly library is kicking off the celebration with a presentation on General Omar N. Bradley on Thursday, February 12th.

Bradley, a native of Randolph County, commanded the Twelfth Army Group, which helped ensure the Allied victory over Germany during World War II. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness several photographs, artifacts, and historical materials detailing the life of Bradley.

Grime says this is just one of many events the library is hosting to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
