Salary increases were approved for Norborne R-VIII staff after the Board of Education set the 2026-2027 Salary Schedule during its meeting on Monday, February 9th.

Superintendent Jennifer Courtney says the board approved a $1,500 raise to the base for staff members to help keep up with the rising cost of living.

 

Courtney notes that district employees still making less than $40,000 can still take advantage of the Teacher Baseline Salary Grant through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, even with the raise.

The Board of Education also held a mid-year review of the district’s finances, which also included an update regarding the district’s bond issue.

 

Courtney says the district hopes to have the entryway work complete by the start of the Class 1 District 13 girls and boys basketball tournaments, which Norborne is hosting beginning on Monday, February 23rd. Courtney says each of the district’s expenses and revenues are remaining on track so far this fiscal year.

The Board of Education will next meet on Monday, March 9th.
