The Moberly School Board has accepted the retirement notice of Assistant Superintendent Parisa Stoddard.
The board was notified of Stoddard’s retirement during the executive session of its February 10th meeting. Stoddard’s retirement is effective in November. Superintendent Cristina Wright says it will be difficult to replace Stoddard’s wealth of knowledge and experience with the district.
The board also announced the hiring of Lydia McClellan as a new Assistant Principal at the Middle School.
The Moberly School District will also have three new positions. The School Board approved adding a new Special Education Teacher, a new custodial position, and a position for a Building Aide. Wright says those positions will be posted immediately.
The Board of Education will next meet on Tuesday, March 10th.
