A two-vehicle collision Saturday, Feb. 14 just west of the Rocheport Bridge sent a St Louis area woman to the hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 34-year-old woman from Ballwin was driving east on Interstate 70 at around 4:35 p.m. when her vehicle hydroplaned and struck a guardrail before coming to a rest. Her vehicle partially blocked one lane of traffic, which a tractor-trailer was unable to avoid. The tractor-trailer struck the sedan, before jack-knifing and overturning and striking the concrete median, blocking both eastbound lanes of the interstate.

The Ballwin woman sustained moderate injuries and was treated at a Columbia hospital. No injuries were reported for the truck driver from Kansas.
