a Sweet Springs man suffered serious injury when his vehicle went off a highway north of the city Sunday, Feb. 15.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle crash around 7:10 a.m. on Route 127, north of 157th Road. Troopers report that the 32-year-old driver was heading south on the highway when his vehicle went off the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning. The driver was taken to a Kansas City area hospital. Troopers add that the driver was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
