Johnson County Clerk Diane Thompson reminds registered voters who will be absent from their polling location on April 7th, that absentee ballots are available Tuesday, February 24th.

Absentee voting for the April General Municipal Election will continue through 5 p.m. Monday, April 6th at the Reese Educational Center Elections Office. The office will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, April 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Applications for mailed absentee ballots must be received in the Elections Office by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25th and should include the voter’s name and residential address as it appears on the voter registration rolls, mailing address, reason for requesting an absentee ballot and signature of the voter.

Thompson also reminds residents that the deadline to register to vote in April’s election is 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 11th.
