Another longtime fixture in the Sporting Kanas City lineup is going elsewhere, as the team confirmed Thursday, Feb. 19 it was dealing forward Daniel Salloi to Toronto.

The deal guarantees Sporting at least $300,000 in General Allocation Money, and could increase to $1 million if certain performance-based incentives are met. Salloi arrived in Kansas City 11 years ago from his native Hungary, signing as a Homegrown Player in 2016. While with Sporting, Salloi scored 67 goals and 47 assists across 287 games, including a franchise-record 17 game-winners. One of those game-winners was in the 2017 final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

The deal comes just days before Sporting open the 2026 MLS season at San Jose. Kickoff from PayPal Park is set for Saturday night at 9:30 p.m.
