The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting early next month to discuss plans to replace a 93-year-old bridge south of Fayette.
The open-house style meeting will take place March 5 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Keller Building on West Morrison in Fayette, where the public can view exhibits and learn more about plans to replace the Route 240 bridge over Salt Creek. MoDOT says the bridge remains in fair condition, but is nearing the end of its usable life and is slated for replacement next year. A signed detour will go in place during the bridge replacement project.
At next week’s meeting, participants can speak with project team members, ask questions and leave comments. The public will also have the chance to review exhibits and leave comments beginning this Thursday, Feb. 26 on MoDOT’s website.
