Also during the meeting, aldermen received an update on construction of a new bridge for Industrial Drive, which continues to experience some delays.

Aldermen also learned Wednesday that violations reported at the city lagoon by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources are considered resolved, pending a follow-up inspection in six months. In action items, the board updated the city employee handbook’s policy on marijuana, and awarded a technology services bid to Patriot Technology. The board also approved the appointment of Shannon Damron to a two-year term on the library board.

Two street closure requests were approved. The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce will have portions of Market and Second streets closed for their Wine Walk on April 11, while the Lewis Library will celebrate their 160th birthday with an ice cream social on 4th Street on Sept. 26.
