The first of two bridge deck replacement projects in Linn County began Monday, March 2 with the closure of the Route U bridge northwest of Bucklin.
Contractor Louis-Company LLC has closed the bridge over Long Branch for the next two months to complete the work. These crews will also replace the deck for the Route B bridge over Parsons Creek north of Meadville later this spring.
Elsewhere, crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will tackle three projects in Howard County. Culvert replacements are scheduled along Route Y beginning Tuesday through Friday, with one lane remaining open while work is underway. One lane will also remain open for the Route H bridge over Salt Fork when bridge maintenance begins Tuesday. General roadside work will take place this week along Routes HH and U, with crews flagging traffic through each work zone.
Culvert replacements are also scheduled this week for Route 179 in Moniteau County between Boxwood Drive and Bacon Ridge Road, while shoulder work is continuing along U.S. Route 50 through eastern Moniteau County. Crews are also scheduled to conduct pavement repairs and resurfacing of Route 10 over the next two weeks, from Route FF southwest of Norborne to Route C west of Richmond.
All work is weather permitting.
