Students and staff are Carrollton R-VII Schools are beginning to inform the public about the district’s facility needs ahead of voters considering a renewal of the district’s operating tax levy this April.
Carrollton voters will decide on whether to keep the district’s current operating levy of $1.3407 per $100 of assessed valuation for the next 20 years, to fund a number of upgrades and additions to the district’s facilities. Supt. Dr Tinna Croy says a series of videos will begin appearing to inform district patrons what those needs are.
Croy says those areas include the district’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, as well as traffic and lighting to improve student safety and security. She says several of those upgrades will be mentioned at forums scheduled around the district over the next month.
If passed April 7, Carrollton R-VII’s total adjusted levy rate would remain at $4.9607.
