
For a second straight meeting, the Concordia Board of Aldermen are expected to spend a considerable portion of their meeting focused on topics pertaining to the city’s water and wastewater systems.
The agenda for the Monday, Mar. 2 meeting will provide aldermen updates on the status of the city converting their chlorine source, as well as how city crews are addressing a reported violation as to the efficiency of efforts to remove total organic carbon from the city’s water supply. Aldermen in Concordia will also receive an update on the north lift station, the potential of needing a hauled waste permit for the north lagoon, and an upcoming meeting with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources on ammonia limits. Concordia’s Board of Aldermen meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Concordia Community Center.
The Sedalia City Council will receive a presentation Monday highlighting key points from the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2027, which needs to be in place by the end of the month. The council convened last week for a budget work session, reviewing department requests and ranking their priorities for the year ahead. Also Monday, the council is expected to consider three change orders for the project repairing the Washington Street Bridge. Sedalia’s city council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.
Also meeting Monday are the Carrollton Town Council, Higginsville Board of Aldermen, and Moberly City Council, all at 6 p.m., while the Boonville City Council will have their meeting at 7 p.m.
