Emergency Management officials in two area counties have announced the postponement of storm siren tests that were planned for Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
In Saline County, EMA director Brad Hinz said Wednesday morning that the test scheduled for 11 a.m. was cancelled because of weather conditions. Hinz says the county’s first test will now take place in April. In Pettis County, the emergency management office there has pushed their siren test back a week to March 11. Both tests were to coincide with Severe Weather Awareness Week, which is going on through Friday.
