Charges have been filed against a Sedalia man accused of possessing sexually explicit material involving children.
According to the Sedalia Police Department, a detective with the department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau opened an investigation into an individual who was allegedly in possession of child sexual abuse material in February 2026. Through multiple investigative methods, the individual was identified as Stephen Kramer.
The detective applied for and obtained a search warrant for Kramer’s residence in the 2400 block of Golf Drive in Sedalia. Detectives arrested Kramer on March 3rd and then subsequently executed the search warrant at his residence and seized several electronic devices, which will be forensically examined for additional child sexual abuse material.
Kramer is facing felony charges for sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of child pornography, and enticement of a child. Bond has been set at $150,000 cash or surety. Additional charges may be requested, as this is an ongoing investigation. Kramer was arraigned Wednesday at Pettis County Circuit Court.
