The City of Moberly was presented a Risk Management Grant from the Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (MIRMA) during the most recent City Council meeting on Monday, March 2nd.
The grant, which totals $12,712, will be used to support safety improvements for two city departments. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the grant funding will provide new body-worn cameras for the Police Department and confined‑space entry safety equipment for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
MIRMA Loss Control Specialist Jeff Arp attended Monday’s meeting to present the grant award.
In other news, McGarvey highlighted that the city’s water office now has a drive-through window to allow residents to make payments.
The Moberly City Council is next scheduled to meet on Monday, March 16th.
