Area residents are reminded to stay alert and be mindful of Tuesday evening’s weather conditions as a recent convection outlook from the National Weather Service shows much of the state at a slight risk for severe thunderstorms.
Meteorologist Jon Kurtz tells KMMO News that the National Weather Service is anticipating the storms to roll through the area this evening and into the overnight hours.
Kurtz says some severe hazards are possible, including hail, damaging winds, flooding, and potentially tornadoes.
Kurtz reminds residents to stay aware of the weather and to have their wireless emergency alerts available this evening. Residents commuting to work Wednesday morning should be aware of potential flooding and be mindful of any road closures.
