A Higginsville man incurred serious injury after his vehicle went off the northbound lane of U.S. Route 65 outside Warsaw on Thursday, Mar. 12.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle crash five miles south of Warsaw around 6:45 p.m. According to troopers, an SUV driven by the 71-year-old man driving north on the highway went off the right side of the road, striking a sign, utility pole and fence. He was flown to a Columbia hospital. Troopers add that they were unable to determine if the man was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
