A Marshall man and his girlfriend were arraigned Wednesday, Mar. 11 on multiple charges of child molestation involving his children.
Court documents accuse 43-year-old Derek Myers and 30-year-old Alexis Fontaine of inappropriately touching Myers’ two children on at least three occasions. According to the probable cause statements, an investigator with the Saline County Children’s Division alerted Marshall Police in February 2025 to a call that one of the two children accused Myers of molesting them. During forensic interviews, including one previously conducted in a neighboring state, one of the children alleged that Myers and Fontaine had touched him inappropriately while he was bathing. The other child told police that Myers and Fontaine had touched her on several other occasions, describing one incident she said was in a bathroom at a baseball game and another while showering at the couple’s home in Marshall.
Myers and Fontaine were arrested Tuesday and each charged with three counts of child molestation. They’re each being held in the Saline County Jail on $75,000 bond, and are scheduled to next appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
