The project to improve a major intersection in Macon will result in lane closures as early as Tuesday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says that resurfacing work in both directions of U.S. Route 36 between Macon and Bevier will begin this week, weather permitting. Lane closures and a width restriction of ten feet will go in place from just east of Kellogg Avenue west past the junction with Routes C and O. Signs including message boards will go in place to advise motorists of traffic controls and schedule changes.
The resurfacing by Magruder Paving is part of the $8.1 million project to improve the intersection of Routes 36 and 63 in Macon. All work is scheduled for completion by October.
