A Lexington woman was injured in an accident after her vehicle skidded off Missouri Business Route 13 in Lafayette County on Monday, March 16th.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Jeep driven by an 18-year-old Lexington woman began to skid while traveling east on Route 13, near Route E. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. The vehicle then came to a rest on its passenger side off the roadway.

The driver was taken to Lafayette Regional Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Troopers report the driver was not wearing her seat-belt at the time of the accident. The accident was reported at 6:30 a.m.
