
The Marshall City Council has given the green light to an agreement to complete design of new taxiway lighting at the Marshall Municipal Airport.
The council adopted the resolution during their meeting Tuesday, Mar. 17, authorizing the agreement with HDR Engineering to complete the design as part of ongoing improvements at the airport. City administrator JD Kehrman says a preliminary design had been completed as part of an earlier project.

Kehrman says available federal funding should cover the cost of the upgrades.
The city will pay HDR Engineering $21,550 to complete the design.
Also Tuesday night, the Marshall City Council also gave its approval for Kehrman to work with Missouri Valley College president Dr Joe Parisi to revise an application seeking federal funds to modernize the Burns Athletic Complex and prepare it for use as a post-disaster shelter in the event of an emergency. The council also received the Marshall Municipal Utilities annual report from general manager Jeff Bergstrom.
