Joyce Evelyn (Sanders) Langkrahr, 87, of Concordia, MO, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia with Rev. Jerry Basye officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Bethel Cemetery or the Multiple Sclerosis Society and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Joyce was born March 1, 1939, in Sedalia, and was the daughter of the late Marvin Sanders and Leona Elliott Sanders.  She was a lifelong resident of Concordia and a 1957 graduate of Concordia High School.  On July 29, 1960, she married Virgil Ervin Langkrahr who preceded her in death on March 16, 1997.

Throughout her life she always exhibited a strong work ethic.  In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at various places throughout the years including the shoe factory at Sweet Springs, Unitog, Good Shepherd Home, and working on the family farm.

Joyce’s faith was an important part of her life and was a longtime member of Bethel United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school.  Traveling was something that brought her happiness through the years.  Whether it be just traveling through the countryside or visiting the 48 states that she did.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Langkrahr (Faye) of Concordia; granddaughter, LeeAnn Moore (Jim) of Greenwood; two great-granddaughters, Kelsey Schaefer (Jesse) of Gardner, KS, and Allyson Moore of Concordia; one brother, Jerry Sanders (Delores Temming) of Independence; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Langkrahr; and four siblings: Dale, Melvin, Roger, and Cheryl Sanders.
