Residents in five area counties have until Mar. 31, 2026 to complete a survey gauging community needs and priorities when it comes to solid waste management.

The survey is for residents in Johnson, Lafayette, Morgan, Pettis and Saline counties, the five counties that comprise the West Central Missouri Solid Waste Management District F. Director Rebecca Whitaker tells KMMO News the survey will help the district’s board determine where to prioritize their funding in the future, primarily through their grant awards to communities and non-profits across the district.
.

Whitaker says the district also helps to organize a dropoff site in each county for hazardous waste and electronic waste.

Details about the survey and hazardous waste dropoff sites, including upcoming spring cleaning events across District F’s counties, are posted on the West Central Missouri Solid Waste Management District website.
