One of two bridges southeast of Salisbury has reopened after completion of its replacement.

The Route PP bridge over the Chariton River overflow channel opened over the weekend according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. The bridge was replaced as part of the Northwest Bridge Bundle by the design-build team of Capital Paving and Horner & Shifrin. It’s the latest in the list of 31 bridges, including 12 in Chariton County, slated for replacement or rehabilitation after they were ranked in poor condition.

Additional details about the Northwest Bridge Bundle are available on the Missouri Department of Transportation website. Motorists can also find the latest information on work zones and road closures on the MoDOT Traveler Information Map.
