The Green Ridge School District Board of Education approved its salary schedules for the next school year, giving both certified and classified staff significant raises for 2026-2027.
The salary schedules were approved during the board’s meeting on March 17th. Superintendent Jonathan Petersen tells KMMO News that the school district is in a healthy financial position even with less revenue coming from the State of Missouri over the next few years. Petersen notes that the Board of Education was able to approve a $1,000 base raise for certified staff and a four percent increase for classified staff for the next school year.
Petersen says increases help the district stay competitive when recruiting and retaining staff.
The board also held a discussion over hiring student workers over the summer to help with cleaning. Petersen says the district will hire two students this summer.
