It is with great sadness that the family of Todd Matthew Jackson, of St. Peters, MO, announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the age of 51.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the Saline Animal League or to the family’s choice, and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born September 28, 1974, in Marshall, MO, Todd was the son of James Russell “Rusty” Jackson and Wanda Dell Thomas. He attended Orearville grade school and Slater High School, graduating from Marshall High School in 1993. Todd also attended Missouri State University.

Todd was known for his sharp mind and his wit. His sense of humor will be greatly missed. Todd loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was a skilled guitarist and played in bands in his younger days. He always appreciated the beauty of nature…frequently taking pictures to capture sunsets, sunrises, rainbows and sunlit clouds. He often said his happiest days were spent on his Grandpa Bob’s farm. Todd was an artist who loved working with his hands. He often expressed his artistry through painting guns, gunsmithing, construction and mechanical work, chain saw rehabilitation, leatherwork, cooking and flower gardening. He was a master piddler.  He could build or fix anything if you gave him enough time.

He was raised in the Baptist faith and came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a young man. Undeniably, Todd had his personal struggles in life; yet, his unapologetically gentle soul always shone through. When he had to choose community work hours, he chose working with a church and Habitat for Humanity. His love of helping others was only surpassed by his love for his dogs, his children, his wife and for his family.

Todd is survived by his wife, Sally, of the home; his sons, Eli Jackson (Juslynn Alex) of Springfield, MO and Isaac Jackson of Gresham, Oregon; his step-daughters, Alexis and Zoe Shurtleff of the home; his father, Rusty Jackson (Rhonda) of Slater; his mother, Wanda Thomas of Marshall; step-father, Jim Steinmetz of Marshall; sister, Miranda Fuchs (Robbie) of Marshall; brothers, John Jackson (Danielle) of Stover, Shovey Jackson of Slater, Dalton (Morgan) Jackson of Slater; grandmother, Bunny Blair of Marshall; aunts and uncles: Missy Thomas Gant (Johnnie) of Marshall, Robby Thomas (LuAnn) of Slater, Penny Burks Parrish of Slater, Tammy Jackson Johnson of Sweet Springs, Vernon Jackson of Slater; and a host of cousins, nieces, a nephew, extended family and friends.

All who loved him and will miss him so very much. Though his life was cut short, Todd’s impact on his family will echo for generations.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert L. Thomas and V. D. Jackson; his grandmother, Shirley Miller; and his uncle, Mark Jackson.
