The Improve I-70 project in Lafayette County will see an on-ramp south of Mayview close Monday for the next two months.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says construction crews will close the westbound on-ramp at Exit 45, from Route H to I-70, on Monday. The other three ramps will remain open. Traffic needing to access westbound I-70 will need to take Route H south to Route U, then west to Route M to use Exit 41. The on-ramp is expected to reopen by the end of May. All work is weather permitting.

The closure is part of the Improve I-70 project adding a third lane to the interstate across the state and making a series of interchange improvements. The project between Blue Springs and Mayview is expected to continue through the end of 2028. The latest project information is available on MoDOT’s website.
