The Sweet Springs Police Department has been awarded the Missouri Blue Shield designation for 2026 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety.

The program, created by Governor Mike Kehoe, recognizes communities across Missouri that are working hard to reduce crime and support law enforcement.

Sweet Springs joins several other area communities who have earned the designation so far in 2026. Some of the other communities include the cities of Higginsville, Concordia, Odessa, Lexington, Warrensburg, and Waverly; as well as the counties of Johnson and Pettis.
