Trash collection in the city of Sedalia will move up a day this week in observance of Good Friday.

The city’s public works department has announced that trash collection throughout the city will take place a day earlier, meaning that residents who normally have their trash collected on Tuesday will need to have their bins to the curb the morning of Monday, Mar. 30. City offices will close Friday, April 3, 2026 in observance of the holiday and reopen Monday, April 6.

While city offices will close Friday, the city’s material management site will remain open this Friday and Saturday, but close Sunday, April 5, 2026 for Easter. Residents in Sedalia with questions can call City Hall at 660-827-3000.
