Motorists who rely on Route 41 to cross the Missouri River may need to find a detour over the next month.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will need to close the Wakenda Chute Bridge north of the Missouri River crossing in Carroll County beginning Monday, Mar. 30 for bridge maintenance during the day. Closures will take place Mondays through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weather permitting, the maintenance work will conclude by April 23. MoDOT reminders drivers to seek an alternate route during the closure, and to slow down and pay attention while in work zones.
