The final meeting for the Saline County Hazard Mitigation Plan is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 7th.

Saline County EMA Director Brad Hinz tells KMMO News that this meeting is the final opportunity for county entities to take part in the planning process, which is required in order to be represented in the final plan.

In addition to attending the meeting, entities also need to submit a Hazard Mitigation questionnaire, action item worksheets, and a list of potential hazards in the county. All items must be submitted to the Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission. Any jurisdiction not included in the plan will not be eligible to apply for FEMA grants or funding for the next five years.

Next Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at Family Worship Center, located at 225 West Drake Road in Marshall. Anyone with questions can call Pioneer Trails at 660-463-7934.
