The newest member of the Central Missouri Activities Conference will depart the league after the next school year.

Camdenton R-III Schools announced Wednesday, Apr. 15 that they would depart the CMAC in the fall of 2027 to re-establish the Ozark Conference with Lebanon, Rolla and Waynesville:

The four schools were in a previous iteration of the Ozark Conference that included Springfield’s five public high schools and West Plains, before the league fractured in 2024.

Camdenton’s departure means that, barring any other changes, the CMAC will return to its original lineup of seven members including Sedalia Smith-Cotton.  The league was established in 2020 by Smith-Cotton along with schools in Columbia and Jefferson City.
