
The Concordia Board of Aldermen held discussions with two sanitation companies who submitted bids for the city’s trash service contract during its meeting on Monday, April 20.
Aldermen met with representatives from Constable Sanitation and Republic Services Monday evening to ask questions concerning their bids. The board previously met with RTS during its April 6 meeting. City Administrator Dale Klussman says the board’s next step will be selecting a bid to award the contract.
The board also approved a new code prohibiting the sale, purchase, or use of bottle rockets in the city.
The board also reviewed and accepted the certified election results from the April Municipal Election. Kaleb Nierman as Mayor for a one-year unexpired term, and Allan Hentges was elected for a three-year unexpired term in Ward 1. The board then elected Beth Kruse to serve as Board President.
