The Kansas City Royals returned to the basement of the AL Central with a 6-3 loss to The Athletics on Thursday, Apr. 30 in Sacramento.
Shea Langeliers and Darell Hernaiz both went three-for-four for the A’s, registering RBIs in a four-run second inning that tagged Royals starter Noah Cameron with the loss. The Royals would not lead again after the second, as Hernaiz delivered a third RBI in the seventh to make the score 6-2. Catcher Elias Díaz recorded his first home run as a Royal in the eighth.
Garcia and Marte both recorded three hits for the Royals, who stranded 12 runners. Cameron went 5.1 innings in the loss, allowing five runs (one unearned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out five.
