The St Louis Cardinals saw their six-game win streak snapped and a chance to sweep the World Series champions denied Sunday, May 3, falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1.

The Dodgers got to starter Dustin May in the second when, with one out and runners at first and second, Andy Pages doubled to left field to score Kyle Tucker. Hyeseong Kim singled home Max Muncy in the next at-bat. The Cardinals had a chance to cut into the lead during their half of the inning with José Fermín at third, but Nathan Church was caught stealing second to end the frame. Freddie Freeman added an RBI single in the fifth to extend the Dodger lead. Alec Burleson broke the shutout with an RBI in the eighth inning to score Jordan Walker. The Dodgers added another RBI single in the ninth to close out the game.
