Saline County Emergency Management Director Brad Hinz announces that weather permitting, the monthly test of the county’s storm sirens is Wednesday, May 6.

Hinz says that the siren test is scheduled between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. The county’s emergency management office controls the storm sirens in Arrow Rock, Blackburn, Gilliam, Grand Pass, Malta Bend, Miami, Nelson, Slater and Sweet Springs. The City of Marshall is also planning to test their sirens Wednesday afternoon at the same time, if the skies are not overcast and there is no threat of inclement weather.
