The St Louis Blues were unable to move up the pecking order in this summer’s NHL Draft, following the Tuesday, May 5 lottery.
The Blues had a three-percent chance to move up from the 11th spot, based upon their finish in the recently concluded regular season. However, the lottery conducted Tuesday night saw the Toronto Maple Leafs jump to the top spot, followed by the New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. The Blues will remain 11th when the NHL Draft takes place next month in Buffalo. They’ll also have the 15th pick as part of the trade that sent Justin Faulk to the Detroit Red Wings.
