
Higginsville’s Assistant Chief of Police was recognized for 20 years of service to the city during the Board of Aldermen meeting on Monday, May 4.
Captain Danny Logan joined the Police Department in May 2006. Logan became the department’s K9 officer in 2008 and served in that position until 2017. He was promoted to Assistant Chief of Police in 2020. City Administrator Jeanette Dobson says Logan has played an important role numerous upgrades to the Higginsville Central Dispatch System.
In other news, the board approved a conditional use request for Joe Munson for the construction of a modular home with a garage on a Single and Two Family Residential (SF3) zoned lot.
The board also appointed Scott Rhoad to continue serving as Mayor Pro Tem. Mayor Donald Knehans also approved the list of alderman committee appointments. That list is linked here: 2026-boa-committee-appointments-memo.
