Julie Ann Klein, 56, of Slater, died Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Slater City Cemetery, with Rev. Ron Richie officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. Wednesday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat in care of the funeral home.

Born December 17, 1969 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Dale Peel and Delores Ann Baker Peel. On December 30, 1999 in Marshall, she married Ronald Klein, and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are a son, David Ward of Slater; a daughter, Brittany Klein of Slater; a granddaughter, Alyse Ward of Slater; a brother, Jeff Peel of Gilliam; a sister, Lisa Bowlen of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Klein was a 1989 graduate of Slater High School. She was employed as a Med Tech and CNA at Big Bend Retreat for twenty years.
