A 17-year-old from Huntsville was injured in an ATV accident on Elm Street on Thursday, May 14.

According to a report, an ATV driven by the Huntsville teen traveled off the left side and the roadway and struck a tree at 7:55 a.m. The juvenile was ejected from the vehicle and dealt moderate injuries in the accident. The teen was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the teen did not have the proper safety gear at the time of the accident.
