
Weather permitting, the Missouri Department of Transportation will replace a number of culverts around the region the week of May 18, 2026.
Crews will close a section of Route W in Howard County on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a replacement. The roadway south of Fayette will close between Route A and the Moniteau Creek Bridge. Culvert replacements are also scheduled along Route Y this week in the county, with one lane remaining open. A culvert north of Versailles is also due for replacement this week, which will close Route D between Routes BB and Z, while in Moniteau County several culverts are scheduled for replacement along Route 87, with one lane remaining open.
Beginning Tuesday, a section of Route EE in western Boone County will be reduced to one lane from Route J west to Drake Lane. The work is expected to last three days. West of Sturgeon, Route CC will close Thursday at Lovers Lane from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Crews also continue to make culvert replacements along Route 124 between Fayette and Hallsville, as part of a project expected to last until July.
Also this week, resurfacing work continues in western Howard County for Routes E and V. In Chariton and Carroll counties, Route 24 will be down to one lane for a scrub-seal project, while pothole patching begins this week along Route 11 from U.S. Route 36 south to Rothville. Route RA outside Sumner will close beginning Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pothole patching.
Pavement repairs scheduled for Monday morning at the intersection of Business Route 65 and Routes 41 and 240 were delayed. When a new date is scheduled, traffic will be reduced to one lane at the intersection in northern Marshall. Pavement work is also scheduled this week along Route 41 between Marshall and the Cooper County line, as well as Route 127 in Pettis County from U.S. Route 50 south to Route AA.
