James R. Wilson, 92, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his home.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Slater City Cemetery, with Rick Durham officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. Friday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Born April 17, 1934 in Saline County, he was the son of the late John and Irene Taylor Wilson. On October 4, 1953 in Gilliam, he married Erma M. Durham, and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2021.

He is survived by a son, Doug Wilson of Slater; a daughter, Regina Johnson of Barnett; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra K. Wilson; a grandson, Skylar Newman; and three brothers, Jack Wilson, Gene Wilson, and Sherman Wilson.

Mr. Wilson owned and operated Jim’s Concrete for over fifty years at Sunrise Beach, Missouri; and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
