In just over a month, the Sedalia School District 200 will make the move into their new central office location at 1700 South Lafayette.
Three change orders and a certificate of substantial completion were adopted Monday night by the district’s board of education, according to superintendent Doctor Todd Fraley.
Fraley says the district plans to relocate offices and personnel in late June, after closing the books on the current school and fiscal year. Also Monday night, the board accepted another change order for the window replacement project at Smith-Cotton Junior High.
The change order with Timekey Glazing will add about 77-hundred dollars ($7658) to the project. The board also received details on repairs made to the roof of the gymnasium at Heber Hunt Elementary after a leak developed. The district’s long-range facility plan previously identified the roof as needing a new overlay or replacement in 2030. However, district maintenance staff are re-evaluating the roof to see if a permanent fix will be needed sooner.
The board also accepted donations from six civic groups, including snacks for students during recent MAP testing and 26-hundred dollars to go toward clearing student lunch debts.
