
Additional details have been released about a commercial fire reported at Terminal Services on Missouri Highway 20 in Marshall on Thursday, May 21.
According to the Marshall Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the scene at 7:58 p.m. and arrived to find flames coming from a large metal building at the site. The building was reportedly used as a diesel mechanic shop.
Marshall firefighters battled the blaze for several hours alongside mutual aid from the West Central Fire District in Sweet Springs. Crews were able to get the fire under control and clear the scene at around 1 a.m. Friday.
No injuries were reported, but the building is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office.
