A Keytesville man was injured after his vehicle was struck by a Norfolk Southern locomotive in Chariton County on Friday, May 22.

According to the Missouri State Highway patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by the 39-year-old Keytesville man failed to yield to the locomotive and was struck on City Well Avenue, a half mile east of Salisbury.

The Keytesville driver had moderate injuries in the accident and was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

The accident was reported at 11:05 a.m. in Chariton County.
